Reminders 04:20
One by one, one one by one Reminders fall through the cracks I want to take your name and just write it down To remind myself that you are not around I want to take this match so I can burn to the ground All of these memories that fill the room, somehow I want to figure out what's wrong with this place So I remind myself every single day Of what had gone so wrong, and now it's such a shame And in the end we have no one else to blame And I want to be reminded of the simple things But it gets harder every time They slip right through the cracks, singing one by one Reminders fall through the cracks I want the certainty that we will have some time To remind ourselves of our teenaged lives How we'd harass our peers over their endless fears Completely scaring them like headlights to the deer I need some time to think of all the things I've done And after all these things, I just keep moving on Oh, I remind myself time and time again That I have nothing else for all this stupid shit And I want to be reminded of the simple things But it gets harder every time They slip right through the cracks, singing one by one Reminders fall through the cracks And I want to be reminded of the simple things But it gets harder every time They slip right through the cracks, singing One by one, one one by one Reminders fall through the cracks

I want to see the places that you have seen I want to be in the places that you have been Stuck in the middle of a dream Stuck in the middle of a scheme There's always something when you're seventeen No one gets exactly what you mean And if they could, they would try to define Every single word to every single line that you say It's all okay They will try to understand again Keep it clean It's so serene You know what I mean Take everything You never thought about the in between until you found yourself in too deep Keep on thinking of the make-believe Keep on thinking that it's all you'll see Black and white is all we really need The grey spaces that will make us weep And if they could they would try to define All the questions that surround their lives That they'd ask so they can grasp all the things they don't know, again Keep it clean It's so serene You know what I mean Take everything Take it back All you had and all you plan to leave behind again Keep it clean It's so serene You know what I mean Take everything

Spain 03:57
I want to get away to somewhere new I want to go to Spain, I want to go with you Give me some time, a day or two We'll pack our bags and leave right on cue We'll get on a plane and fly away We'll go again now, and come back someday Oh, there I go, dreaming again Why can't I get you out of my head? The tables have turned and I'm on the edge I'm feeling so numb, can't feel a thing You're not around and it's bringing me down If you only saw what I just saw I need to get away I need to leave this place I've got to find my home now I've got to find some grace inside your eyes Buried deep in lies Oh, how I just wait for you I cannot complain, it's true I can't complain If we're gonna go, we'll have to go now Madrid and Barcelona, we'll get there somehow I've got the plan written all down All we have to do is follow it out I never want to leave, I only want to stay I'm in paradise now and I'll never leave this place And I wait Oh, how I just wait for you I cannot complain, it's true I can't complain

Postcard 05:09
Got a postcard straight from Paris I know who sent it, a friend in high places I wonder what she's thinking now, a million miles away, and when she gets back one day will she be different or the same? Time heals all wounds but these wounds are too deep to heal I hate to sound like such a bore but this is just how I feel I know you've heard this all before but this time it's oh so real Living through these times and trials, all I can't deny is you've shaken me to my core Shaken me, begging for some more What I want is to read every word you wrote to me Well, I wanted you to know I'm hanging on your every word I'm holding on to the simple things because the simple things will never be simple again Everything was too complex when we were so carefree Living through these times and trials, all I can't deny is you've shaken me to my core Shaken me, begging for some more What I want is to read every word you wrote to me Well, I wanted you to know I'm hanging on your every word

about

Honest, quirky indie rock with a groovy and dynamic twist, Go Diana is the raw drive of the Strokes and Los Campesinos!, and the arena-ready hooks of the Arkells, fused with the rhythmic, danceable edge of the Arctic Monkeys.

Simple Things is an apt name for the debut release by Mississauga’s Go Diana. The young quartet mixes dance rhythms with punk energy and arena-sized hooks into a clean, precise sound that’s catchy and fun.
“Adolescent Age” and “Postcard” are propulsive songs with powerful drums and big, infectious group choruses. “Reminders” may be the key cut, a summery, groovy synth-rock jam. Even the low-key, romantic ballad “Spain” eventually erupts into fireworks. These Simple Things are worth holding on to.
